Helping Others Along The Path Of Life:

This evening I searched this site for articlees about helping others. Imagine my shock, when the search result issued a congradulations. I was the first to search for such a article. I presume there are about 1/2 million squids and it is amazing that there are no published article on the subject matter. The this site population is a reflection of the world at large, helping others is not high on our prioity list.

stayonthepathThis is such a shame and is possibly responsible for a lot of isolation, alienation and loneliness in the universe. I am aware that we live busy lives and that time is precious, but helping others is a ‘must’ to ensure the survival of mankind.

So each one of us needs to sit back and reflect on what we have done to help our neighbour, friend, family, co-worker and all others that cross our path. Remember (No man is an Island). Do good for others and you will get it back tenfold.

Try a little Kindness:

A smile costs nothing but it could make a huge difference to one is lonely or alone, A compliment or a word of encouragement can diminish misery. How about a big friendly salute the next time you see your neighbour. These are tiny efforts in a vast world to help your fellow man. Remember as you pass the mail man on the street, you hav no idea of what cross he is carrying, how he is coping with life but your interactions with him could make a huge difference. The grumpy neighbour, perhaps he is lonely and frail-maybe a helping hand could ease his pain and revigorate his zeal for life.

All of the above cost nothing. They are random acts of kindness and have the potential to help somebody on their journey through life.

Try-Kindness-Button-0921Acts of Selflessness.

The easy part is to do acts of charity that have no cost.

Can you spare an hour for your friend who is in trouble? Can you listen to the same tale of woe that you have heard, over and over again. This is a true act of charity as it involves your time and patience.

Do you ever really listen to your co-worker as she relates her problems. To really listen is difficult but by doing so, you can really help people.

Your family–it is so easy to help the ones you love, yet the others may need kindness and support. That is extremely difficult, to put out the helping hand to those that may have hurt you.

Look around you, open your eyes–would the stockmarket crash if you helped an old lady across the road. Would your life turn chaotic if you did some shopping for your nextdoor neighbour?

The answer is NO to the above. The world would continue as always BUT you would be a better person for your kindness.

(One Good Turn Deserves Another)

If you believe in Karma-Good Karma brings Good Karma. Doing good for others brings a sense of wellbeing to yourself. Whateve good you do in life will be repaid, perhaps not instantly but I promise you ,down the road ,you will get your just rewards.

We are all from different lands, classes ,races and political backgrounds. Whether we believe in God, Mohammd or the Mesiash is of little significance if we don’t help our fellow man.

So as you go about your daily chores, reach out-help others, and try a little kindness.
